I am convinced that theological education needs to be accessible and affordable for all ministry leaders. The work of ministry leaders is too important. The responsibilities are too great. Fuller DMin has been listening to pastors who are wanting more than conferences. Conferences are great, but they are singing with the same choir, hearing the same information over and over, not really being pushed.
We are hearing from ministry leaders who want good, robust, disturb your thinking, change your life type of theological education. Many of them want a doctor of ministry degree. Some don’t and some can’t get a DMin because of time and money constraints.
Fuller DMin is developing a series of paths towards excellent and transformative theological education beyond the standard Doctor of Ministry degree.
Here is the first one to tell you about. It is the Advanced Diploma in Ministry Leadership. It is not an academic degree. It doesn’t lead towards a degree. But it is good theological education. You must have the DMin application prerequisites to be a part of this: a theological masters degree, a good GPA (3.0), and currently be in a ministry context. The cost of this program: $3500.
